Q.  What is a creative consultant?

A.  A creative consultant is one who has the ability to help people transform their lives through various processes involving conceptualizing their creativity and guiding the manifestation of that creativity into an individual artistic act of self-expression.


Q.  What is creativity?

A.  Webster's dictionary states basically: "the process of making or bringing into being"


Q.  What is the creative process?

A.  The creative process is a series of moments that contribute to the outward manifestation of inner thoughts.


Q.  Why should I be creative?

A.  One should be creative in order to promote greater personal development, which in turn, promotes our personal contributions to the global community.



Obstacles:

Q.  Why do I feel blocked in whatever I try to do?

A.  If you are asking this question, try to answer it yourself - chances are  - if you are truly honest with yourself you will already know the answer.  Never underestimate your own capacity for accessing your own inner wisdom.


Q.  How do I motivate myself to get started?

A.  Get a mentor or join a class or just change your normal routine and you will discover you have already begun to think creatively.


Q.  Why won't my spouse, parents, friends, boss, social club, church or whatever support me in my creative journey?

A.  Because it is not THEIR journey.  It is YOUR journey.  Look within yourself and not outside yourself to find the support you need.  There are many techniques such as:  prayer, solitude, meditation or recalling happy childhood memories that can be inspirational to your creative process.



Personal:

Q.  How can I get over my own anxiety in order to become creative?

Q.  Will I go crazy if I pursue my creative self?

A.  Exploring yourself from a creative perspective is all about bringing about the BEST in you--in other words--even negative self perceptions can be used positively when creating.

Q.  Will expressing my creativity change me?

A.  Yes...Change is always a part of the creative process.  The act of creative expression helps in actualizing the individual's greater potential, which results in a fundamental transformation.


Q.  How can I get inspired?

A.  The Greek translation of the word inspired refers to...being in spirit.  Being in spirit can be triggered by anything that puts you more in touch with your true self.  Examples would be:  Your favorite song - A well-needed vacation - Your favorite perfume or cologne - Your favorite food - A touch football game or any activity that draws upon one or more of  your five senses.
 



Creativity:

Q.  Isn't getting lost in one's creative expression a way of escaping reality?

A.  In the athletic world there is a term called the ZONE.  In the creative world there is a term called FLOW.  Both terms refer to a healthy altered state of consciousness or awareness that allows the individual to experience feelings of well-being.



Others:

Q.  Is there a difference between scientific invention and artistic creation?

A.  For example, modern technology definitely utilizes creativity, so to say the artist is more creative than the scientist would be an untrue statement.  The difference is only in the expression of the creative act.  Even Einstein professed that the imagination was more important than intelligence.
